These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Amallight. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Amallight is a mental wellness platform offering anonymous peer support ("vents"), an AI companion ("Moa"), booked sessions with licensed psychologists, and mood and growth tracking tools, available to individual users and through employer-provided company access.
Amallight, including Moa and any AI-generated response, is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. If you are in crisis or believe you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency number immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. Our crisis detection and escalation features are a safety measure, not a guarantee, and you should not rely on them instead of seeking emergency help directly.
You must be at least 15 years old to use Amallight. If you are under 18, you can use the free features yourself, but any paid subscription must be purchased by a parent or legal guardian on your behalf — Amallight does not let anyone under 18 enter into a paid subscription directly, as this requires the legal capacity to form a binding contract. If you are accessing the service through an employer-provided company account, your employer's terms with us may also apply to you.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@amallight.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You must provide accurate information when registering, including for psychologist verification where applicable.
Psychologists on Amallight are independent licensed professionals responsible for the care they provide. We verify professional license numbers as part of onboarding, but we do not practice medicine or provide clinical care ourselves, and we are not a party to the clinical relationship between you and your psychologist.
Paid plans and psychologist sessions are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your billing settings. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
You agree not to use Amallight to harass, threaten, or harm others; to impersonate any person or entity; to attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; to interfere with the operation of the service; or to use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain ownership of the vents, messages, and other content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a license to process it as necessary to operate the service, including through AI tools as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account immediately deactivates it and logs you out. Your data is then retained for 30 days, during which you can log back in to cancel the deletion and restore your account. After 30 days, your account and associated data are permanently deleted or anonymized, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amallight is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Swedish or EU consumer protection law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence within the EU/EEA.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes, and continued use of Amallight after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
